Frequently Asked Questions

Perhaps Annapurna base camp trekking is one of the best country walks although it leads to up / down hills with stone steps, as altitude wise is safe the trek lead on moderate altitude with less chance of getting AMS ( Acute Mountain Sickness) the highest is at ABC 4,095 meters high.
As per season wise, autumn and winter months can get cold above 2,000 meters especially morning and night time but day time with pleasant sunny days above 2,000 m sun gets glaring requires sunscreen due to high altitude above 3,000 m with strong UV. In spring and summer above 2,300 m with 15°-18° C average and minimum of 0° to 5° C, autumn / winter day time 15°-16° C and can get below -5° C during morn / night time.
Altitude wise this trek is safe with slow walk and acclimatization every day before reaching above 3,000 to 4,000 meters. However some people might get sick with personal problem or diarrhea which is common due to change of meals and environment, we carry medical kit and our guide goes through medical training course every 6 months, they will advice what is best and in case of serious illness and accidents emergency evacuation required by any means of transport or by helicopter to reach the nearest hospital.
Most of the time Sat and local Cell phone works, however if walking in deep gorge like in Bamboo –Dovan-Deurali few places it won’t work, in this case there are Landline (STD /ISTD) available along the lodge on route ABC.
