View Nepal proudly present an amazing tour in Bhutan to witness famous and main events of Thimphu Tshechu Festival, full of exciting colorful dance programs started by 4th Desi, Gyalse Tenzin Rabgay in 1867 AD.

The Tshechu consisted of only a few dances being performed strictly by monks. These were the Zhanachham and the ZhanaNgachham (Dances of the 21 Black Hats), Durdag (Dance of the Lords of the Cremation Ground), and the Tung.

Thimphu Tshechu Festival Detail Itinerary

On reaching at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will receive with a warm welcome and transfer you to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city. After refresh join the other group member for trip orientation and briefing by our guide / leader regarding Bhutan Trip, hotels, do and don’ts along with evening group dinner.

In Kathmandu morning sightseeing tour at places of interest, Kathmandu is steeped with historical and cultural monuments listed in World Heritage by UNESCO, all tour accompanied by expert cultural tour guide, after a great time back to hotel, afternoon free at leisure and trip to Bhutan preparations.

Depending upon the flight time to Paro, Bhutan either morning or in afternoon time, Destination Holidays staff transfer you with a short drive to Kathmandu international airport, after checking in boarding in Bhutan national carrier “Druk Air” a super scenic flight to Paro with amazing views of high snow capped peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga and on reaching at Paro airport with mountains of Bhutan.

At Paro airport after immigration and visa formalities our guide in Bhutan will receive for the drive to respective hotels in Paro, with afternoon free at leisure.

Morning after having breakfast in respective hotels, our native guide of Bhutan will take you on a pleasant walk or short drive and hour uphill steep climb to Bhutan’s famous old Taksang Monastery known as Tiger's nest. A place for retreats and meditation of many Buddhist monks and high priest of Bhutan, the monastery located within the overhanging rock cliff with superb views of Paro town and snow capped peaks towards north, from here with steep downhill a short drive to visit 17th centaury Ta-Dzong, later converted into the National Museum in 1967, afternoon free at leisure for stroll around Paro shops and markets.

Morning after breakfast depart for the capital city of Bhutan after a wonderful time in Paro, this is an interesting drive of two hours through the countryside dotted with farm villages and terraces with typical Bhutanese landscapes and Buddhist culture architecture villages.

Driving leads at Thimphu one of the few modern city of Bhutan and a capital, interesting to know that Thimphu the only city in the whole world without traffic lights, all the traffic controlled by traffic police and a whistle.

These two days in Bhumtahg engrossed with colorful Prakar festival and interesting tour of Jakar Dzong, handloom shops, Tamzing Monastery, Kurjey temple, burning lake and Ura Valley/Ogyen Chholing Palace.

After a wonderful time in Bumthang area, morning drive to Thimphu on route tour around Punakha town, the earlier capital of Bhutan, and then reaching Thimphu for last overnight in Bhutan with time for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Depending upon flight time to Kathmandu or connecting with other Indian cities, our guide transfer you to Paro international airport for the flight back to Kathmandu, or flight to Delhi and respective destinations.
