Depending upon the season of trekking, autumn and winter months can get cold above 2,000 meters especially morning and night time but the day is pleasant with sunny days most of the season. Other season beside monsoon / wet months is pleasant with occasional thunder showers during late afternoon.
As you will be trekking on mainstream trekking trails, the lodges are nice and cozy with attached bathrooms available in most of the village and at Namche; around Thyangboche lodges are simple and basic but clean with common bathrooms. Foods are as per the menu from Nepali set meals of Dal Bhat, Noodles (soup or fired) continental / Chinese to Mexican and Italian with Indian verities. It is better to stick with vegetarian food while on trek as it is not healthy due to hygiene. Higher above 4,000 m food menu are limited due to remoteness and high terrain climate conditions.
