After acclimatization and rest day with preparation for Pisang Peak climbing , our climb leads away from main Annapurna circuit route to high and dry country in complete isolation in the harmony of nature and mountains.Starting the tough climb led by our expert guide to the summit of Pisang Peak, after a successful bid reaching the top where a mind-blowing panorama of mountains surrounds you. Feeling great and in high spirit return journey back on main popular Annapurna Circuit route, visiting Manang villages and interesting Braga monastery.
This grand journey leads over high Thorang-la pass to holy Muktinath and then finally this marvelous adventure Pisang Peak Climbs concludes at Jomsom town for short sweeping flight to scenic Pokhara valley for the drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Besishar 800 m and trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 08 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
Day 06: Rest day at Pisang for local hikes and acclimatization.
Day 07: Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp 4,380m - 04 hrs.
Day 08: Trek and climb to High Camp 5,400 m - 03 hrs.
Day 09: Climb Pisang Peak and return to base camp time permitting to Pisang village.
Day 10: Reserve day in case of bad weather condition.
Day 11: Trek to Manang 3,350m - 04 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hours.
Day 13: Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Day 14: Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 06 hrs.
Day 15: Trek to Jomsom 2,713m - 04 hrs.
Day 16: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Day 17: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, View Nepal Treks staff and guide will receive you for the transfer to your hotels around interesting Kathmandu city. After rest in your rooms with refreshment, our guide / leader provides briefing of Pisang Peak Climb and trek, lodges on route with do and don’ts includes welcome dinner.
Today a free day preparation for the trek and climb of Pisang Peak, this day allows necessary paper works for Pisang Peak climb. For interested people can book for short sightseeing tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is full of world heritage sites and monuments.
Morning a long and interesting overland drive towards Nepal mid west at Besishar town, from here on a dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi, as the drive follows Marshyangdi River upstream through rice terraces and villages then ending the long day at Dharapani village for overnight stop. A nice large village located on the junction of Manaslu and Annapurna circuit trail.
Morning walk leads along winding path into rhododendron, pine forest through Bagachap and Danque village, then to Timang village. From here onwards into Buddhist culture area with view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, a large and major town and headquarter of Manang area.
Adventure continues into cooler area from here onwards closer to mountainous region, trekking through nice alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, after lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari walk descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.
Rest day in Pisang village at this high altitude, necessary for acclimatization before heading high to Pisang Peak climb, on this day with free morning take a short hike around, as walking higher and sleeping at low elevation helps to acclimatize well. This rest day also helps to plan the climb where our guide offer necessary information of the area, culture, religion and climbing skill required for the climb.
After a nice rest in Pisang village, our route leads towards north of upper Pisang village, as the tree lines drops for short few bushes around grazing land, called Kharka. Climb a high ridge above Pisang peak, our guide will set base camp with camping facilities, around 4,380 meters high, first night in tents meals prepared by our expert cook and kitchen staff.
A short day but tough due to high altitude, morning walk follows a faint trail where few climbers and Yak herders hardly use this path to high camp, as the walk leads over rocks, ice and glacier to reach bottom of Pisang Peak where high camp is set for the climb. Afternoon our guide will scout the area for safe accessible route to the summit fixing ropes and making ice ledges where necessary, High Camp situated on long ridge of Pisang Peak, under some conditions this area may be under snow, afternoon free to sort the gear with preparation for the early morning climb.
Our highlight and goal of this adventure, starting at dawn climb over moraine and rubble of ice falls, following our lead guide reaching high above on a well defined ridge towards last snow slope, leading quite steeply without any difficulty but with some technical sections and then climb all the way to Pisang summit with great help and support of our expert guide. On reaching the summit take a rest and admire the beautiful panorama of whole Annapurna Mountains and towards north and west Chulu range with Damodar peaks as well beyond Chulu peaks, view of Manaslu towards east horizon. After being in the highest spot of this adventure descent by same route to base camp, as time permits and possible with physical strength after the climb descend all the way to Pisang village.
View Nepal Treks for your success, reserves an extra day as contingency in case of bad and unfavorable weather condition, or to adjust this day to maintain itinerary days taking care of client’s fitness as well. If this day not used and if all goes well according to our standard itinerary our guide / leader will use this extra day on return trek to Manang or on route Jomsom, making short day as you enjoy walks with views on route trekking.
On reaching Pisang village, descend to Hongde village with a small air-strip. Walk from here is on gradual wide trail most of the way to Manang via Braga village with an interesting monastery. Monastery of Braga largest in whole Manang district, it has an outstanding display of statues, thangkas with religious manuscripts. From here it is only an hour walk to Manang for overnight stop in the comfort of nice cozy lodge.
After a pleasant overnight at Manang, morning walk leads on uphill path to Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude trekking with super views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.
Morning heading high area, to the base of Thorang-la after a climb along the river bank, walk leads at Thorung Phedi, from here an hour of steep climb brings at Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.
One of the hard days of this adventure, with early breakfast trek follows a long climb up to Thorang-la with steep haul on the winding path to Thorung La Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft. The highest point on trekking after the climb of Pisang Peak, the pass offers awesome sceneries of snowcapped peaks after feeling high reaching the main highlight, and then a long descend leads to Muktinath at 3,800 m. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.
Today our last walk of this fabulous adventure, enjoy downhill walk to Jomsom town, perched on a shelf above Kaligandaki River. On reaching at Jomsom, the administrative and a headquarter town of Mustang area. Jomsom with many excellent lodge and hotels for overnight accommodation, this town situated on the famous route of Annapurna circuit, Upper Mustang and to holy Muktinath route, afternoon explore Jomsom town.
Morning transfer to Jomsom airport for short flight to picturesque Pokhara valley with Annapurna mountains backdrop and pristine Phewa Lake where hotels are located, afternoon free for individual activities and souvenir shopping or just relax and enjoy the views.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable trip in the high mountains of Annapurna Himalaya, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure. (options by air 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu)
Today, your last day in amazing Nepal with great experience and fond memories of Pisang Peak Climb and trekking, as per your time for international flight, View Nepal staff transfer you to airport for your final departure homeward bound or to your next destinations.
Starting with moderate walks with up hills with short breaks in between, trekking is pleasant except for high altitude on reaching high Manang area above 3,000 meters. With rest day for acclimatization and the daily walk helps acclimatizing on this trek with slow rise in elevation, the only tough day is above Pisang village and towards Pisang Peak base camp due to high altitude and dry air. Taking slow and steady walk everyone can enjoy this marvelous trek and climb to Pisang Peak Climb.
Morning and night time are always cold above 2,500 meters with day time are sunny most of the season, spring and summer above 2,500 m 15°-18° C average and minimum of 0° to 5° C, autumn / winter day time 15°-16° C and can get below -10° C during morn / night time. We do not run this trek from December to March due to high chances of snow on the pass and on route climb of Pisang Peak.
As this is a moderate and adventurous trekking one needs to be physical fit with sound health, however after booking this trip one can do short exercise jogging and climbing up and down the steps, aerobic or Jumba exercise will be great exercise preparation for this trek. Higher Manang valley of complete Tibetan Buddhist religion and culture, visit to monasteries where our guide will inform of the rules while entering holy sites with dress conducts. As for the climb requires positive attitude and good physical fitness with some practice of ice axe and using crampons if possible during trek our guide will offer good practices and instructions for the climb.
As this trek starts with moderate grade of walking as altitude wise as the trek progress leading higher elevation of above 3,000 meters will be adventurous overcoming high altitude and thin air, if the trails are covered in deep snow including the pass we use the word grade as challenging which is an arduous job to find the safe path to respective destinations. If the pass is completely covered in deep snow we will consider and might re-route the trek to safe area for the welfare, safety of clients including staff and porters.
